Trabalhadores da Ding Sheng Minerals paralisam actividades reivindicando melhores condições laborais

A group of workers from Ding Sheng Minerals, a Chinese company that exploits the heavy sands of Chibuto, in Gaza province, paralyzed activities last Friday (02), demanding better working conditions.

According to a NewsThe resumption of activities took place on Friday after the bosses agreed to come to the table for talks, citing workers from the mining company.

"The workers brought to the discussion table issues related to work overload, improving the salary situation, among other aspects," the same publication said.

Meanwhile, the General Inspectorate of Labor (IGT) in Gaza province confirmed that there was a stoppage of activities at the mining company on Friday, rejecting that the interruption was motivated by alleged poor working conditions, mistreatment and arbitrary dismissal of workers, allegedly perpetrated by the employer.

"What happened was that a worker was buried while handling soil at night and his colleagues wouldn't work because they demanded to be allowed to take part in the funeral," explained IGT delegate Sérgio Chirindza

However, the body of the deceased, the third fatality this year, was not discovered until two days later, when colleagues and family members realized he was missing.
