Cabo Delgado: Timor-Leste aberto a prestar ajuda na luta contra o terrorismo

The President of East Timor, José Ramos-Horta, this Friday expressed openness to supporting the country in the face of terrorism in the province of Cabo Delgado, highlighting the historical ties between the two states.

"We fully support Mozambique in managing this threat to stability that arises from external sources," said José Ramos-Horta at a press conference after a meeting with President Nyusi in Maputo.

Ramos-Horta was speaking as part of his working visit to Mozambique, which ends today, Sunday.

During this visit, the two countries signed several cooperation agreements in the areas of politics, education and mineral resources.

The agreements were signed by the heads of diplomacy of the two countries, Mozambican Verónica Macamo and Timorese Bendito dos Santos Freitas.
