The presidential candidate of the Democratic Alliance Coalition (CAD), Venâncio Mondlane, today in the city of Chimoio, Manica province, defended economic and fiscal decentralization in the country.
"From a technical point of view, we have concrete proposals. One of them is a review of fiscal policy and a new economic policy, where we will ensure that economic and fiscal decentralization takes place in Mozambique," he said.
In Mondlane's view, this proposal will allow each of the country's provinces to benefit from the added value derived from the local exploitation of natural resources.
"The provinces where these resources exist should be the first to benefit from them," he said.
For the CAD's frontrunner, the biggest problem is a lack of management and a paradigm shift.
"For all of this to happen, we need a government with integrity, with ideas, committed to values, very strong civic and patriotic principles," he told the press during a march.
