Mozambican striker close to renewal with Sporting de Portugal until 2029

Avançado moçambicano perto de renovar com Sporting de Portugal até 2029

Mozambican striker Geny Catamo is stirring up the European soccer scene, both inside and outside Portugal, where he plays for Sporting.

The player, who has already been coveted by other clubs such as Aston Villa, Tottenham, Fulham, Udinese, Atalanta and Arsenal, has his transfer fee split. Amora of Portugal hold 75% and the lions of Alvalade 25%. The pass is currently worth 1.5 million euros.

This appetite for the Mozambican left-winger has made Sporting more attentive, and the club is putting pressure on Amora to sell the remaining 75% of the player's pass.

Geny's contract with Sporting ends in 2025. The termination clause is 60 million euros. The Portuguese press is reporting that in a few days the contract could be up for renewal until 2029. Also on the table these days should be the issue of the percentage of the Mozambican's contract that still belongs to Amora.

Negotiations with Amora have not been easy but they should now get underway again.
