Espanha conquista Mundial-2023 feminino de futebol pela primeira vez

Spain won the Women's World Cup for the first time in their history on Sunday, beating England 1-0 in the final of the competition in Sydney.

A goal from Olga Carmona in the 29th minute was enough for the Spanish women to beat England and win their first World Cup on their third appearance at the tournament, having fallen in the group stage in 2015 and in the last 16 in 2019.

England, the reigning European champions, are also making their best ever World Cup appearance, having never reached the final before, having finished third in 2015 and fourth in 2019.

The final place on the podium at the World Cup-2023 went to Sweden, who beat hosts Australia 2-0 on Saturday in the third and fourth place play-offs.
