The power supply to the administrative post of Honde, in the Bárue district of Manica, has been interrupted since yesterday afternoon, January 17, due to the fall of 11 poles caused by the bad weather in that part of the country.

A press release from Electricidade de Moçambique (EDM) indicates that because of the situation 13 private transformer stations are without power in the customer service area in the city of Chimoio.

The same note states that EDM's technical teams are on the ground to ensure that normal energy supplies are restored to affected customers as soon as possible.
