Sofala: Corruption causes arrest of 16 officials in first half of the year

Sofala: Corrupção causa a detenção de 16 funcionários no primeiro semestre

Sixteen state officials and agents, were arrested during the first half of this year in Sofala province, on suspicion of corruption, announced the secretary of state of that province, Stella Pinto Zeca.

According to the source, most of the cases have to do with illicit collections and embezzlement of funds in the Health, Education and Migration sectors.

The state secretariat, said cited by RM that in relation to the Provincial Migration Service, the suspected officials were issuing passports to immigrants believed to have links to terrorist groups.

Stella Pinto Zeca, presented this data during the session of the body directed by the President of the Republic, who is visiting the province of Sofala.
