Meta founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg has admitted to investors that he is prepared for the company to lose "significant" amounts of money in developing the Metaverse between the next three to five years, writes the News to the Minute.

Tells Bloomberg that Zuckerberg's response came after an investor questioned the executive regarding the return on investment in the Metaverse, a bet on which the company spent $10 billion in 2021 alone.

Zuckerberg stated that "We want the hardware to be as accessible as possible for everyone and to make sure that the digital economy grows," and reinforced that the bet on the Metaverse will not be cheap.
