In order to increase the technical capacity for the identification and prevention of infectious diseases, including SARS Covid-2, the multinational Eni Rovuma has just donated several medical and laboratory materials to the National Institute of Health.
The donation is part of the partnership that Eni has had with the Ministry of Health since 2013, which has enabled the implementation of several projects in the area of community health in Cabo Delgado and Maputo Provinces.
The equipment, delivered by the director of Eni Rovuma, Giorgio Vicini, consists of 3 biological protection booths, 1 magnetic induction cycler, 1 PCR detection machine, 7000 (seven thousand) testing kits, personal protective equipment (PPE) and several laboratory reagents.
It should be noted that as part of its support for the Mozambican Health Authorities, Eni Rovuma recently donated various medical and personal protection equipment and financed the installation of 3 mobile health centers in the districts of Pemba, Mecúfi and Metuge, aimed at providing primary health care and preventing the spread of Infectious Diseases among the displaced population and residents in the reception centers.
