The new President of the Mozambican Skating Federation (FMP), Eneas Monteiro Comiche, a bank manager by profession, was sworn in on Thursday to lead for a four-year period, until 2026, replacing Nicolau Manjate.
With the motto "SKATING for the Future and Consolidation of Skating in Mozambique", Comiche promises to bet on training by opening skating schools in the country.
"We also intend to promote courses to train more athletes, coaches, judges and referees. We also want to continue to develop a good relationship with the bodies that oversee skating at the world and African level. Another challenge will be to provide full support for the restructuring of provincial associations", he projected,
The ceremony also saw the swearing in of the new president of the General Assembly, Carlos de Sousa, who succeeds Lucas Chachine.
The meeting of the skating family was also marked by the presence of the honorary president of the FMP, Hermenegildo Gamito, who recommended for the reconciliation of the same, and reiterated to continue to give due value to training.
