Access Bank Mozambique and the Mozambican Red Cross have donated, this Wednesday, food and other essential goods to the victims of the cyclone Ana, which in January hit strongly the central and northern regions of the country, causing several victims and considerable damage.
In addition to the food items donated by the Bank, Access Bank employees joined this solidarity action, offering the affected populations various types of clothing. Employees from all the provinces where the Bank is present were involved in the initiative.
The symbolic delivery of the donations took place in Maputo city. The Mozambique Red Cross is responsible for delivering and distributing all the products collected to the communities in the regions affected by the cyclone, namely Niassa, Nampula, Tete, Zambézia, Manica and Sofala.
Eneas Comiche, Director of Business Banking at Access Bank Mozambique, accompanied the act of donation in the warehouses of the Red Cross Mozambique.
"By embracing this initiative, the Bank intends to promote the altruistic spirit and citizenship that guides it, helping, in this case, the populations directly affected by the tropical storm. With the support of the Red Cross, we intend to bring some comfort to these people, in this difficult time", said the responsible.
This solidarity action is part of the Social Responsibility and of the commitment that Access Bank has assumed with Mozambique, showing that it is a responsible bank and always attentive to the different realities and events that surround it.
