Nyusi speaks to the Mozambican nation about the covid-19 situation

The President of the Republic, Filipe Nyusi, will speak to the Nation, today, at 7pm, in the context of the Situation of Public Calamity, according to a note from the Presidency of the Republic.

In the last Communication to the Nation, on January 19th, Filipe Nyusi decided to keep the decree 34/2021 of December 20th, about the prevention measures of covid-19, but with some exceptions, being the reopening of all the country's beaches the most relevant, of that decree.

At that time of the Head of State said that the country already had enough booster doses to administer to people aged 60 and older, including pregnant women.

The last decree also provided for reducing the quarantine period from 14 to seven days, extending the opening hours of commercial establishments, extending the number of visits to hospitalized patients from one to two people, and allowing inmates to visit twice a month.
