The President of the Republic, Filipe Nyusi, is inaugurating this Friday the electricity grid of the Administrative Post of Mitande, Mandimba district, in continuation of his two-day visit to Niassa province.
The population of the administrative post of Mitande augurs development in several areas, with the entry of energy from the national grid.
According to Radio Mozambique, the population considers that the conditions are created for night schooling, installation of small milling and welding industries, and for the conservation of fresh produce.
Some residents of Mitande had to travel 15 kilometers to the district town to have access to television, a situation that has now been overcome.
The electrification of the Mitande administrative post is part of the government's program called "Energy for All by 2030" and will cover more than 23,000 inhabitants.
