The government, through Mozambique's National Institute of Communications (INCM), is strengthening its institutional capacity to fight cybercrimes that have tended to occur with some frequency in recent times.
According to the President of the Board of Directors (PCA) of INCM, Tuaha Mote, said this week in Nampula, during the opening of the XV Annual Balance and Planning Meeting that the problem is getting the attention of all social sectors, highlighting that swindle, financial fraud, money laundering and money laundering, are the most frequent cyber crimes in the country.
"At the institutional level we already have basic capabilities to collaborate and mitigate the impact of these cyber crimes. I'm talking about all types of crime that can occur using telecommunications networks, information and communication technology platforms. We are in a position to produce expert information with a view to clarifying the crimes," assured Tuaha Mote.
However, the source said there is a need for modernization and expansion of digital infrastructure in the country, so that the service provided is comprehensive and of quality.
