Mozambique still has no registered cases of the Omicron variant

The Ministry of Health (MISAU), assures that no positive case of the new covid-19 variant, called Omicron, recently discovered in South Africa, has been detected in the country yet.

According to the communiqué from MISAU, released this Saturday, the country is reinforcing measures to prevent and control covid-19, namely: health surveillance, especially at border crossings, testing of suspected cases, and continuing the vaccination process against the pandemic.

To this end, the government recommends that all citizens redouble their prevention measures against the disease.
