The government of Niassa urges the population to be more vigilant against illegal exploitation of natural resources by foreigners.

According to the Secretary of State in Niassa, Dinis Vilankulo, illegal mining, deforestation of native forests and other protected species, and poaching, are pointed out as being practices that are contributing to the degradation of the environment in the province.

Dinis Vilankulo, who made this statement, this Friday, on the occasion of Legality Day, said that these violations are done by Malawians and Tanzanians.
