League of Lengends releases "Arcane" animated series on Netflix

The latest partnership between Netflix and Riot Games has resulted in the release this Sunday of the animated series Arcane, based on the League of Legend electronic game universe. The launch of the series occurred simultaneously with the League of Legends World Championship 2021.

The Arcane series - which takes place in 13 regions - develops the rifting relationship between the majestic city of Piltover and the dark, abandoned suburban area of Zaun, which encapsulates the fate of sisters Vi and Jinx.

Known throughout Runeterra "Magic Land" as the "City of Progress," the Piltover region is home to some of the world's brightest minds. However, the creation of hextecv technology - a way to give anyone control over magical energy - threatens this fragile balance.

Although Arcane shows the backstory of several League of Legends Champions, the series is meant to stand alone and be understood as a complex world filled with moral decisions, breathtaking animation sequences, and a story rich in suspenseful scenes.
