The Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Celso Correia, calls on producers to prepare their cultivation areas in view of the agrarian campaign that will be launched in the country in a few days.
Celso Correia, who was speaking in Namaacha, Maputo province, after witnessing the II Auction of Genetically Improved Cattle, said that the government is currently finalizing the preparations for the launch of the next agricultural harvest.
"We are also closing the campaign that precedes the new one. First, we have already concluded the balance of this one and soon, we will announce the results, but all indicators point that we will have the conditions to have a great campaign, the next one to come. We are in the final stage of planning and organizing, mobilizing the entire productive sector, so that we can have a campaign that responds to national objectives and with the main one, the economic recovery. Without growth, development is not enough and we cannot solve the main problems the country has," he said.
The Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development made it known that the auction of genetically improved cattle allowed the mobilization of four million meticais, having involved more than eighty animals, among goats, cattle and sheep.
