Standard Bank officially reopened its 24 de Julho branch this Wednesday (11) in Maputo, after having benefited from a refurbishment and expansion, giving it a modern and versatile look, with a self-service digital space and a larger, more interactive and dynamic customer service area.
In its physical structure, the agency has three convertible areas, which can be adapted and expanded according to customer demand or the services to be provided on site.
The first area has an ATM and a Large Deposit Machine, available 24 hours a day, where customers can make withdrawals and deposits independently. The second and third, which are open from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., offer various banking services and assistance with digital migration.
Speaking at the reopening ceremony, the managing director of Standard Bank, Bernardo Aparício, said it was a branch with a different layout, more modern and functional, in line with the best practices of bank branches today, which have larger areas for customer relations and interaction and smaller ones for operational service.
Aparício also explained that Standard Bank wants to make access to the bank's products and services easier and quicker, which is why "we have introduced an area in the first part of the branch dedicated to educating customers to join our electronic platforms.
Our branches are open to everyone and we want customers to come and visit us, if only to find out how the digital platforms work or to get financial advice from our employees," he said.
The director of the Banking Services and Payment Systems Department at Banco de Moçambique, Carlos Melo António, said that the reopening of the branch reflected Standard Bank's commitment to providing quality services to its customers and the population in general.
"We congratulate Standard Bank for having a modern branch that includes digital education, without prejudice to the traditional component, which contributes to achieving the government's objectives of guaranteeing the availability and accessibility of better quality financial products for the population," he emphasized.
