Former President Jacob Zuma's UmKhonto weSizwe (MK) party will contest the results of Wednesday's elections, alleging irregularities in the electoral process.
"We don't recognize the results. The party will challenge the process, which was irregular," said Muzi Ntshingila, speaking to journalists at the Independent Electoral Commission's (IEC) election results center in Johannesburg.
The head of the MK party announced the decision when 91,62% of the constituencies had been declared, with a total of 14,014,075 validated votes.
the MKP is currently the third most voted political force in Wednesday's elections with 13.81% of the audited votes, after the Democratic Alliance (DA), with 21.64%, and the governing ANC, with 40.98%, which is on the verge of losing its absolute majority
