NGO detects "error" in administrative precedence in government organization chart

ONG detecta “erro” de precedência administrativa no organograma do Governo

The Bureau of Public Information (BIP) has published a poster of the state's hierarchical structure containing errors of administrative precedence, according to a finding by the Center for Democracy and Human Rights (CDD).

According to the non-governmental organization (NGO), the provision in question - see the featured image - "It contradicts institutional logic and ignores historical, constitutional and administrative precedence criteria", which could jeopardize the correct reading of the government's institutional structure and functioning.

The CDD believes that the current provision should be urgently reviewed and amended, and is therefore putting forward its proposal, based on criteria such as proximity to the Head of State, and interdependence or correlation of activities between the different ministries.

"The correction of this order is fundamental to guarantee greater coherence in the organization of the Executive and to ensure alignment with the principles established in the Constitution of the Republic of Mozambique," he writes.
