Frelimo's provincial committee in Zambezia meets today to discuss the guidelines for internal elections.

The information was revealed on Thursday afternoon by the head of the Central Brigade for Assistance to Zambézia Province, Margarida Talapa, on her arrival in Quelimane, according to "Noticias".

Talapa said that the renewal of the bodies follows the appointment of the current secretary of the provincial committee, Momade Juízo, to the post of Secretary of State for Agriculture and Fisheries.

"We're going to have a meeting with various cadres in the province, starting with the first secretaries of the district committees and the secretaries of the social organizations, so that we can launch the process of holding the internal elections," Talapa explained.

According to the government official, the moment will be used to boost Frelimo and publicize the government's Five-Year Programme, which will be approved in the Assembly of the Republic in a few days' time.
