Zambézia: Chapo wants to move parliament to Mocuba

Zambézia: Chapo quer transferir sede do parlamento para  Mocuba

Frelimo's presidential candidate, Daniel Chapo, promised in Mocuba, Zambezia province, to move the seat of parliament to that part of the country if he wins the presidential election on October 9.

The presidential candidate justifies that the measure is intended to correspond to the slogan that "Mocuba is where all roads cross and Mozambique embraces", but also because it is the center of the country in order to facilitate access for MPs from the southern and northern regions.

Cited by Notícias, Chapo says he has a plan up his sleeve for each province to be the capital of something, namely politics, economics, tourism, law, sports, among others.

Chapo was speaking yesterday morning in Mocuba, on yet another day of canvassing in that part of the country.

For this project to materialize, he asked for votes for the Frelimo party and its presidential candidacy.
