WhatsApp is currently testing a dedicated payments button in its messaging app, a feature associated with the WhatsApp Pay function that allows users to send money to each other.

The new button was spotted by the website WABetaInfo and will be positioned between the buttons dedicated to the camera and the 'stickers'. Currently the button is being tested only in India, but apparently it is progressively reaching more and more users.

For now WhatsApp Pay is only available in India and Brazil, territories with a high volume of users of the messaging app and where the payment system has proven to be a useful feature in everyday life.
