VM7 anuncia eleições de governadores, administradores e chefes de localidades

Venâncio Mondlane, the leader of the nationwide demonstrations, announced the election of new governors, administrators and heads of localities for January 7th.

In another live stream on his official Facebook account this evening, Mondlane once again said that on January 15th he will be sworn in as the new President of the Republic of Mozambique.

"But when they take office on January 15, so too will the provincial governors, district administrators, heads of localities and heads of blocks in the zones," he said.

Mondlane explained during the live that it is the people who will be responsible for electing the new provincial, district and local leaders, as well as the neighborhood secretaries.

He said that anyone is free to stand as a candidate. To vote, just line up in front of candidate A, B or C and start voting. The election must be held in person.

"The population gets together and those who want candidate A queue up for this candidate, those who want candidate B queue up for this candidate and those who want candidate C queue up for the same candidate."

According to the politician, the democracy of the National Electoral Commission is adulterated and does not represent the true will of the people.

He launched a competition to create a new flag for Mozambique, removing the weapon that he believes is used to oppress and kidnap.

He invited graphic editors and designers to submit proposals for projects on the flag of Mozambique by January 10, and whoever submits the best project will be awarded 300,000 Meticais.

Proposals should be sent to: bandeiramoz@gmail.com.

To the entrepreneurs who lost their businesses during the violent demonstrations at the behest of Frelimo, he promised after taking office to open a bank guarantee fund of 500 to 600 million dollars to revitalize their businesses
