The Ambassador of the European Union and the Ambassadors of the Member States of the European Union met today, January 14, with the leaders of the opposition parties (Albino Forquilha of Podemos, Ossufo Momade of Renamo, Lutero Simango of MDM and Salomão Muchanga, of Nova Democracia), at their request.

According to a press release from the European Union, the leaders of these parties presented the state of play of the political dialogue underway to overcome the current situation in Mozambique and exchanged views on how the European Union and the Member States could support this process.

At the meeting, the parties exchanged views on how the European Union and the Member States could support this process of dialogue with a view to restoring peace and social harmony in Mozambique.
