Another attempt to assassinate Venâncio Mondlane took place this afternoon in Maputo city, in broad daylight. According to information we have received, agents from the Rapid Intervention Unit (UIR) are allegedly attacked the caravan of the politician and former presidential candidate, Venâncio Mondlane, on Avenida Julius Nyerere, in the Hulene Expresso area.

According to the images circulating on the Facebook page of psychologist Cremildo Chichongue, the UIR fired directly at the car in which politician Venâncio Mondlane and his entourage were travelling in an attempt to eliminate him.

Apparently, and from what we can see on Live that was taking placeMondlane was on another march accompanied by the population. Until At the moment there are reports of several people injured, one of them being the his cameraman who was apparently hit in the face. Meanwhile, it seems that Mondlane and Dinis Tivane were unharmed.

This act of attempted murder is yet another clear demonstration of the political intolerance in which the country finds itself.
