The social network TikTok continues on its path of expansion and has already become the social media app that makes the most money worldwide from in-app purchases.
In September alone, it earned more than 2.5 million dollars a day (around 2.51 million euros) in revenue from in-app purchases and subscriptions, excluding advertising revenue.
The figures come from the financial publication Finbold, quoted by marketeer, which analyzed TikTok's revenues on Android and iPhone devices, excluding iPad. On these platforms, the social network earned more than 104 thousand dollars per hour (104.4 thousand euros) and accumulated more than 75.8 million dollars (76 million euros) in revenue during the month of September.
In the Google Play Store, TikTok was the second most profitable app (35.14 million dollars), behind the dating app Tinder (37.58 million dollars). Among the most profitable apps in the Google store are games such as Honor of Kings (24.05 million dollars), Candy CrushSaga (21.1 million dollars) and Puzzle & Dragons (20.84 million dollars).
Also in the App Store, TikTok has risen to second place among the most profitable apps (with revenues of around 40.66 million dollars), following the Coin Master app (47.96 million dollars) and overtaking others such as Candy CrushSaga (38.67 million dollars), Roblox (18.26 million dollars) and Royal Match (12.36 million dollars).
In the future, TikTok is expected to swell these numbers even further. It's worth remembering that the social network is testing TikTok Shop in the UK, a store that allows traders to sell their products directly to the app's users.
