Two semi-collective passenger transport companies, based in the city of Tete, are going to court for their alleged involvement in drug trafficking schemes.
According to Rádio Moçambique, these are carriers operating from the city of Tete to various regions of the country who were questioned by the authorities with some luggage containing cannabis sativa, known as suruma, and other hard drugs.
A criminal case is being processed by the administration of justice, with a view to holding them responsible for illegal drug trafficking.
SERNIC in Tete said that in connection with the cases, two Mozambican nationals are being held for their involvement in the transportation of drugs, which are prohibited by law.
