Sporting, where Mozambican international Geny Catamo plays, secured their place in the semi-finals of the Portuguese Cup yesterday by beating Gil Vicente 1-0 in the quarter-finals.

The only goal of the match was scored by Zeno Debast in the 68th minute.

Geny Catamo, who had been out of the competition due to a right ankle injury, came on in the 82nd minute to replace Alexandre Brito.

In the next round, Sporting will face Rio Ave, with the first leg taking place in Alvalade and the second in Vila do Conde, on April 2 and 23 respectively.
