The World Bank (WB) is providing 100 million meticals for the rehabilitation of roads in the city of Beira, in Sofala, under the Local Urban Development Project, advanced an official source of the municipality.
The Councilman for Construction, Infrastructure and Urbanization in the Municipal Council of Beira, Augusto Manhoca said that the works will start before the end of the year, being currently under preparation for the launch of the public tender for the selection of the contractor.
The source also said that the roads to be intervened cover the urban area to the peripheral neighborhoods that in rainy seasons become almost impassable.
