Frelimo's interim secretary general visits Tanzania

The interim Secretary General of Frelimo and candidate for President of the Republic in this year's general elections arrived in Dar es Salaam on Tuesday morning for a three-day working visit to Tanzania.

Daniel Chapo's first visit abroad since he was elected as Frelimo's candidate for Ponta Vermelha in the presidential, legislative and provincial assembly elections on October 9.

In addition to the meeting with his party's grassroots, Chapo is scheduled to visit the site of the meeting that led to the founding of the Mozambique Liberation Front on June 25, 1962, in Dar es Salaam.

Camps of Eduardo Mondlane, Josina Machel, Francisco Manyanga and the house of the Architect of National Unity are on the itinerary of the Frelimo interim secretary-general's visit. (RM)
