Russia may blow up Starlink in Ukraine, Elon Musk warns

SpaceX CEO Elon Musk today acknowledged the high possibility that the only non-Russian communication system in Ukraine, Starlink, is a target of Russian attacks in that territory.

The South African turned to his Twitter page to make the "important warning".

"Starlink is the only non-Russian communication system that still works in some parts of Ukraine, the probability of it being a target is high.", wrote the company's CEO.

In his message, the philanthropist stressed that the system should be turned on only when imperative, while also reminding that it should be used with "caution."

"Place a cover over the antenna to avoid detection," he added.

Ukrainian Digital Transformation Minister Mykhailo Fedorov announced on Monday that the equipment to use SpaceX's Starlink satellite Internet service has now arrived in Ukraine, and thanked Elon Musk.

Fedorov thanked SpaceX founder Elon Musk for the equipment in a message on the social network Twitter accompanied by a photo of boxes in the back of a truck.

Also on Twitter, Musk responded, "You're welcome."
