The Prime Minister, Adriano Maleiane, will be representing the President of the Republic, Filipe Nyusi, from Thursday until Sunday at the African Union Extraordinary Summit on Industrialization and Economic Diversification, in Niamey-Niger.
According to an official statement, the summit aims, among other things, to renew Africa's commitments to industrialization as one of the central pillars for achieving the continent's economic growth and development goals.
It also aims to drive structural transformation, built around harnessing Africa's rich and diverse natural resources, in the face of current advances in technology, continental and global geopolitical trends and the emergence of trade in services.
The Prime Minister will be accompanied on this trip by the Minister for Industry and Trade, Silvino Moreno, the Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Manuel José Gonçalves, and officials from various state institutions.
