The President of the Republic, Daniel Chapo, has sent a message of condolence to his counterpart from the Republic of Namibia, Nangolo Mbumba, on the death of the former President of that country, Sam Nujoma, who died yesterday in Windhoek of an illness.
In his message, the Head of State expressed his deep sadness at the passing of the former Namibian statesman, stressing that his death was not just a loss for Namibia and Mozambique, but for the entire African continent.
In the message, the Head of State emphasizes President Nujoma's legacy as a great leader, fundamental in Namibia's independence movement, and recognizes his contribution to the peace and security of the SADC region and the African continent.
