The President of the Republic, Filipe Nyusi, starts this Sunday a four-day official visit to the United Arab Emirates, indicates a communiqué received by our newsroom.
According to a presidential statement, Filipe Nyusi's visit comes in response to an invitation from the President of the United Arab Emirates and Emir of Abu Dhabi, Sheik Muhammad bin Zayed Al-Nahyan.
The Mozambican Head of State's visit is part of the consolidation and deepening of friendship and cooperation relations between Mozambique and the United Arab Emirates, both bilaterally and internationally, and will provide an opportunity for the two countries to define strategies to strengthen political, economic and business relations.
The statement also said that during his stay in that country, President Nyusi will hold official talks with his counterpart, Sheik Muhammad bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, among other dignitaries of the Emirates, as well as a meeting with the Mozambican community and visits to undertakings of economic and social interest.
On this trip, the President of the Republic will be accompanied by the Ministers of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Verónica Macamo Ndlovu; Transport and Communications, Mateus Magala; Deputy Ministers of Economy and Finance, Carla Loveira; Public Works, Housing and Water Resources, Cecília Chamutota; Ambassador of Mozambique to the United Arab Emirates, Tiago Castigo; Consul of Mozambique in the United Arab Emirates, Alberto Cuvelo; staff of the Presidency of the Republic and other State institutions.
