This Thursday, in Maputo, the President of the Republic, Filipe Nyusi, will lead the opening ceremony of the 10th edition of the Mozambique Mining and Energy Conference and Exhibition.

According to a press release, the event will serve as a space to address the development of regional energy infrastructures, as well as stimulating investment in the gas sector and the mining industry.

The Mozambique Mining and Energy Conference and Exhibition is being held under the slogan: Partnerships for Prosperity: Unlocking Mozambique's Resources to Advance National and Regional Economic Growth.

The event will be attended by energy and mining ministers from Botswana, Eswatini, Malawi, Congo and Madagascar, the Gas Exporting Countries Forum and the Organization of African Petroleum Producing Countries.

The event will also be attended by public and private sector professionals from more than 20 countries around the world.
