The PODEMOS Party condemns the "brutal" murder of Daniel Ricardo Guambe and Ratifo Sebastião that took place on Saturday night in the village of Massinga, Inhambane.

Ricardo Guambe, 28, and Ratifo Sebastião, 21, were shot dead while in a car.

In a statement to which MZNews had access, the Podemos party speaks of a crime, of extreme and cowardly violence, which took the lives of two young people with a promising future and, above all, caused irreparable damage to their families.

Daniel Ricardo Guambe was an integral member of Venâncio Mondlane's team in Inhambane and played the role of MC in the area of mass entertainment.

The other victim of the death squads, Rafito Sitoe, had just become the father of a child just three days old.

"We demand from the competent authorities the immediate investigation and exemplary punishment of those responsible for this barbaric crime, so that there is no room for such atrocities to continue to occur in our society," reads the Podemos statement.
