PM speaks at AU Extraordinary Summit on Industrialization

The Prime Minister, Adriano Maleiane, will speak this Friday at the extraordinary summit of the African Union on behalf of the President of the Republic, Filipe Nyusi, marking the highest point of Mozambique's participation in the event.

In his speech, the Prime Minister will be able to discuss Mozambique's experience in industrialization programmes, adapted policies and results.

It is known that the government has been introducing measures to stimulate industrial growth through specific programs such as Sustenta and PRONAI - the National Program to Industrialize Mozambique.

The programs are betting on an infrastructure model for rapid industrial growth through the implementation of free zones and industrial parks on a public-private basis.

On this subject, according to RM, the government has already found the partner who will operate the special agro-industrial processing zone in the Pemba-Lichinga integral development corridor.

In fact, the Minister of Industry and Trade, Silvino Moreno, has already confirmed the existence of this partner, and the office for implementing the project has even been set up.

It should be noted that the summit, which officially kicks off this Friday, brings together almost all the heads of state and government of the member countries of the African Union.
