LAM pilot stops flight after passenger assaults flight attendant

The pilot of flight TM 156 of Mozambique Airlines, LAM, was forced to stop the flight 30 minutes after take-off after a passenger assaulted the head of the cabin.

According to the LAM press release in our possession, the passenger disobeyed operational safety rules, intimidated a female passenger and assaulted the cabin manager.

As a result, the pilot of the flight decided to interrupt the trip, which was destined for Nampula, and return to Maputo, from where he had taken off at around 5.50pm.

After landing, the passenger, a Mozambican national of Nigerian origin, was referred to the police authorities.
