Pope Francis, who has been hospitalized since February 14, spent another "peaceful night" and woke up around 08:00. "The night was peaceful and the Pope woke up around 8am," the Vatican said in a statement.
It should be remembered that Monday's clinical bulletin revealed that the Pope is having a "good response" to treatment for bilateral pneumonia, so his prognosis is no longer guarded.
The Holy See added that "in view of the complexity of the clinical picture and the significant infectious condition presented on admission, it will be necessary to continue pharmacological medical treatment in a hospital environment for a few more days".
It is known that the Pontiff has been in hospital for almost a month, and that this is his fourth and longest hospitalization since the beginning of his pontificate in 2013.
