The President of the Republic, Filipe Nyusi, has sent a message of solidarity to the Acting President of the Republic of Korea, Choi Sang-mok, following the plane crash that killed just over 170 people.
In his message, the Head of State said he was deeply saddened to hear the news of the tragic crash of the Jeju Air passenger plane at the airport in southwest Korea, which claimed more than 170 lives.
"The loss of life is truly painful, so our thoughts and solidarity go out to all those affected by this tragedy. In this moment of anguish, on behalf of the people, the Government of the Republic of Mozambique and myself, I would like to express our deepest condolences to the people and Government of the Republic of Korea, in particular to the families of those who died in the plane crash," reads the Head of State's message.
