The National Directorate for Water Management and Resources guarantees that there is no risk of a new wave of flooding in Boane, Maputo province.
This is due to the fact that some families are afraid of a possible flood due to the moderate to heavy rainfall that has been recorded in recent days, especially in the south of the country.
The Head of the Hydrographic Basins Department at the National Directorate for Water Resources Management, explained, quoted by Rádio Moçambique, that the rainfall in recent days is part of the normal hydrological cycle in the current rainy season.
Meanwhile, the alert continues for some points in the districts of Manhiça and Magude, due to the rising flow of the Incomáti river, and reports of impassability, according to Agostinho Vilanculos.
