The Technical Secretariat for Electoral Administration (STAE) in Nampula says it doesn't have the money to pay the first installment of the brigades involved in voter registration.

The information was shared by the provincial director of STAE, Luís Cavalo, who recognizes that this may contribute to the demotivation of the brigade members, and therefore appeals for understanding, according to RM.

The source also said that there are more than three hundred brigadistas involved in the voter registration process who are still waiting for the first installment to be paid.
