Mondlane accuses Frelimo of being responsible for decades of corruption and social inequality

Mondlane acusa a Frelimo de ser responsável por décadas de corrupção e desigualdade social

Presidential candidate Venâncio Mondlane is continuing his election campaign in Tete province, Macanga district, where he was received by a crowd of people.

Like himself, with an explosive and direct speech, Mondlane accused Frelimo, the party that has ruled the country for almost half a century, of being responsible for corruption and social inequality in the country.

Mondlane went further by accusing Frelimo of only benefiting a small political and economic elite in its governance, while the majority of the population continues to suffer from poverty and a lack of essential services.

In a video published by the Morri Mortalmente channel, he openly criticized leading figures in Mozambican politics, including former presidents Armando Guebuza and Joaquim Chissano, as well as Daniel Chapo, Bernardino Rafael and the leadership of the Frelimo party.

Amid applause and enthusiasm from his supporters, if elected the "people's" candidate promised profound changes to the country, breaking with the cycles of power that, according to him, keep Mozambique stagnant.

He highlighted the difficulties faced by the population in accessing services such as health and education, criticizing the lack of public investment in these areas.

He said that many citizens have to travel to other regions to receive proper medical treatment, a reality that he is committed to changing.

In the video, Mondlane ends his speech by urging voters to vote for change in the October elections, reinforcing his promise of a fairer and more developed Mozambique.
