The President of the Republic, Daniel Chapo, assured that Mozambique will increase investment in the energy sector in order to supply this resource to more African countries.

Daniel Chapo was speaking to Mozambican journalists at a press conference as part of his two-day working visit to the Republic of Namibia.

During the conference, the President of the Republic gave a positive assessment of his working visit to the Republic of Namibia, where he took part in the inauguration of the country's new president, Ndemupelila Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah.

Chapo said that during the meeting with the Namibian Head of State, issues related to bilateral cooperation in the socio-economic area were discussed.

"In this sense, more investment will be made in the construction of new dams and transportation lines," he said.

The Head of State also said that with Namibia he intends to capitalize on the experience in agriculture, cattle breeding and processing.

For her part, the new President of Namibia pledged to continue developing ties of cooperation and friendship with the various African states, including Mozambique.
