Mozambique vaccinated more than 700,000 young people against Covid-19 in two days

A total of 765,000 young people over the age of 12 were vaccinated against Covid-19 in the first two days of the campaign to inoculate the youngest in, announced a government health source.

"In the first two days of the campaign we managed to vaccinate 765,000 adolescents," said Health Minister Armindo Tiago, quoted by Lusa.

The Ministry of Health hopes to reach 4.8 million young people between the ages of 12 and 17 in a campaign that began on Tuesday and will be carried out with a two-dose vaccine.

Armindo Tiago asked for the collaboration of parents and guardians to ensure that "all adolescents are vaccinated.

According to the government the vaccination rate in Mozambique is around 100% of the eligible adult population and has contributed to the retreat of the disease.
