Mozambique has been named by the World Bank (WB) as one of the African countries that best implements sustainable inclusive policies in the education sector, with a view to achieving the African Agenda 2063.
Speaking at the Heads of State Summit on Human Capital Development in Africa in Tanzania, the World Bank's Regional Vice President for Eastern and Southern Africa praised the efforts of the Mozambican government to increase literacy among the population, including girls, by expanding education.
For Victoria Kwakwa, African countries must increase the resources allocated to the education sector in order to guarantee quality training and equip young people with work-oriented skills.
The WB representative said she intended to organize a meeting with African education experts to discuss aspects of this sector.
