Cell phone market in Europe falls in the second quarter

A report shared by Counterpoint Research indicates that the cell phone market in Europe saw a 11% drop in Q2 2022 sales, this compared to the same period last year.

Counterpoint points to the state of the economy, the uncertainty of the war in Ukraine, and factory closures in Asia due to the Covid-19 pandemic as the reasons for this drop.

As far as best-selling brands are concerned, Samsung was able to keep the top spot with 32% of market share, followed by Apple with 24%, Xiaomi with 19%, Oppo with 5%, and rounding out the 'ranking' is Realme with 3%.
