Luxury brands have devalued seven billion this year

By 2021, the world's 50 most valuable luxury brands lost $7 billion in value. A drop caused by the effects of the pandemic. 

The data are contained in the annual report of the brandirectory.com portal and reveal that the cumulative value of these 50 brands has dropped from $227 billion to $219 billion.

"As predicted, Covid-19 hurt the value of luxury and premium brands with a 3% drop." 

Porsche is the most valuable brand, amounting to $34.3 billion, a considerable difference to the second brand in this ranking, Gucci, which stands at $15.6 billion. 

Of note, in the top 5, only Porsche grew in brand value. 

Of note, Ferrari comes in as the strongest brand, with an AAA+ rating. This list is dominated by apparel brands, accounting for 62% (30 brands) of the total value.
